Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is treatment that is supported by the most up-to-date research. It involves looking deeply at the relationship between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in order to understand them and make changes which will improve mood, behavioral patterns, and/or relationships. Call me for a free consultation or to learn more.

Perinatal Depression and Anxiety
1 in 7 pregnant or postpartum women experience depression and/or anxiety. They may question their ability to be a mother, feel intense fear about their baby, or have uncomfortable and uncontrollable thoughts. You are NOT alone.
The sooner you get help, the sooner you can feel better.

Exposure Therapy

Anxiety disorders, Panic Disorder, phobias, complicated grief, OCD, and PTSD all include an element of avoiding what is painful or feared. Exposure techniques have an extremely high rate of success. I can tailor treatment to target your fears at a pace that is right for you. It is normal to be hesitant about exposure therapy. Call me for a free consultation or simply to learn more.  Any successful treatment for anxiety is going to involve some exposure. You don't have to keep suffering.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is actively paying attention to the present moment in an open, accepting, non-judgmental way. Research has found consistent practice in mindfulness to be beneficial for many physical and psychological difficulties. These include: depression, anxiety, addictions, OCD, chronic pain, and personality disorders. Mindfulness can help you to regulate moods, change habitual behavior, and tolerate distress. If helpful to you, it can be a large or small part of our work together. Call me for a free consultation or to learn more.
